We left here at 8:00 AM and drove to Pocatello only to find out the appointment was actually at Idaho Falls so we drove there. They were really nice about it. We don't know who mixed up the info. Doesn't matter either. Mike got right in and they checked out his eyes quite carefully. The doctor found a tear in the eye and suggested he could fix it there in the office. The proceedure took about an hour or so. It was kind of yuck to watch. Mike stood it quite well. We got home about 1:30 PM and Mike laid down on the sofa on his stomach which was how it was suppose to sleep and he did! He slept off and on for the rest of the afternoon. But the poor guy had quite a pain in the neck from the way he had to hold his head. I would rub it as much as I could. We took the patch off around 6:00 and I was just sick at the sight of his eye. It looked totally yuck! He was having a bit of pain also. We took a walk with the dog, ate a bite of soup - that was all Mike felt like, and he laid down on the sofa and was soon asleep again. He had quite a good night. So did I and no help from a sleeping pill!
His eye looks better today - Saturday - but still blurred vision and bloodshot, along with being swollen. He has to keep his head tilted - ear to shoulder - until Monday when our checkup appointment is. In Idaho Falls!

It was an unusual ending to our day. Mike went with Richard to Tetonia to pick up some grain seed I think he said. The dog and I hung out here at home just doing our thing. It was a nice day and we did take a couple of nice walks. When Mike got home to complained of seeing black spots and today was starting to see a "gray area" in the corner of his eye. We decided he had to see a doctor. He didn't want supper as he and Richard had eaten a late lunch. We walked Hank and both of us were ready for bed - I end had taken a sleeping pill as I wanted a good night's sleep because I was going to Boise with Lenae in the morning. Anyway, Mike went to the bed and was he was looking at the clock and turning his head he started seeing "lightning flashes" and that scared us both. I checked out detached retina on the internet and it all "fit". So we called the hospital and they suggested - strongly - that we head down there. At 8:30 PM we were on our way. I was driving and I do believe the adrenline kept me awake. I didn't feel sleepy anyway. Mike was checked and looked over by a eye doctor and he said he saw enough that he thought a specialist needed to see Mike so he called Dr. Romwell and he made us an appointment for 9:00 AM the following morning. We got home about 1:30 AM. I slept of course, but Mike did not have a good night at all.

It's snowing today
We ran to Pocatello to get groceries and a few necessities. It was nice when we left at 8:30 AM and now at 1:30 PM the gound is white. It's pretty however with the trees all covered in white.
The weather man promises warmer temps by the weekend. We'll hope so.
